  • QBE’s experience and insight has been put to good use in developing a framework against which our policyholders can evaluate the greyer areas of risk culture within their business. Results and actions will demonstrate to stakeholders your commitment to driving the risk agenda proactively.

  • Where frequency and/or severity of claims is an issue, we carry out thorough investigations to identify all contributory factors, and make practical recommendations for change. Independence and anonymised reporting help tease out issues that might not surface through in-house reviews.

  • Ad hoc risk management advice is just an email or call away. Our risk mangers and consultants can also review your risk policies, procedures and other documents and help you to improve them in line with current best practices.

  • Sometimes a root and branch review of all management controls can identify gaps that may have been overlooked, or just provide reassurance that best practice is embedded consistently throughout your business.

  • Often, lessons arising from events such as complaints and claims are not embedded fully or for the long term because they are not shared widely enough, and relevant documents are not revised to permanently capture the changes required. We can review the effectiveness of your organisational learning and advise on ways to improve.

  • A range of operational risk assessments is available online via QRisk, or via one of our consultants. These provide a straightforward way of identifying gaps in your risk management defences. Developed over numerous years, they provide a comprehensive framework to benchmark your own operations against recognised best practice.

  • Our client forums and sector-specific seminars and training events bring together experts who can share knowledge on the latest risk topics, trends and issues, as well as providing an opportunity for you to network with your peers and build relationships with your insurance stakeholders.
