How do I apply for a position at QBE?

To apply for a position, please visit our Opportunities site. Your background and experience will determine which role makes sense for you; claims, underwriting, actuarial, technology, HR, many are available to consider.

How soon should I hear back after applying?

Upon submittal of your application, you will receive a confirmation email sent out automatically from our system. In the following days you can easily track the status of your application(s) in your candidate profile. Usually, our recruiters will contact you within two weeks after applying to discuss further details of the application and selection process. If your profile does not fit the job you applied for, we will also contact you personally - either via mail or by telephone.

Can I apply for more than one position at a time?

Absolutely. Please apply for whatever roles you feel suited to; please remember to tailor your application appropriately.

Can I still apply if the position I am interested in is no longer being advertised?

Once a vacancy has been removed from our website it means we are no longer accepting applications for that vacancy.

What should I do if I can’t find a suitable position to apply for?

Setup a new account or login to an existing account to create job alerts. You can choose the type of position you’d like to be notified about and we’ll let you know once a position becomes available.

How much notice do I need to give to cancel/rearrange my interview?

The more notice you can give us the better. If you know you will be unable to attend at the confirmed time, please contact a member of the recruitment team to discuss your options.

What should I do if I need assistance during the application process?

If successful, when can I start?

Start dates will be discussed during your face-to-face interview; we need to conduct background screening which has a turnaround time of circa 4 weeks.
