Motor Trade

We can accommodate most risks and provide competitive cover, and we actively look for ways to help you reduce your exposures.

Our Motor Trade policy covers companies in the UK that work with vehicles, such as automotive franchise dealerships, accident repair centres, body shops, and sale, service, and repair garages. Cover is available in a package policy including core covers Motor, Property and General Liability.

Tailored cover

We don’t look simply to help our customers meet their legislative requirements. We work closely with you, putting together comprehensive, flexible cover to meet your specific needs. Our dedicated team of specialist underwriters are experts in this sector and have the freedom to cater to a wide range of requirements, no matter how complex or unusual.

Working in partnership

At QBE, working in close partnership with our customers is a real priority. We work hard to build a relationship that is about more than an annual insurance contract; we’re always here when you need us, whether you need advice about your cover or support with risk management improvements.

Prevention is better than cure

Avoiding a claim is always better than having one in the first place, so we look for ways to help you reduce the frequency and cost of your claims – and create a risk-aware culture in your business. Our Risk Solutions team will work with you to come up with creative, cost-effective solutions, as well as keeping you informed about latest best practices and standards.

The Motor Insurance Database: reducing uninsured driving

The Motor Insurers’ Bureau has developed the Motor Insurance Database (MID) to reduce the amount of uninsured driving in the UK. To comply with the rules, all motor fleet policyholders must provide certain vehicle information to the MID.
