QBE Re International Reinsurance Seminar QIRS 2019

The seminar organized by QBE Re is aimed at employees of insurance companies, primarily having responsibilities in the reinsurance department. Ideally, the participant has knowledge of English and has already had a general training or first experience in reinsurance. In order to maximize the number of insurance companies and countries present at the seminar, participation is restricted to one delegate per company.

Participants will gain an insight in the construction and evaluation of reinsurance programmes, both during the lectures and while playing the simulation game. The business game will be played in small groups, each group acting as both ceding company and reinsurer, providing delegates with experience in designing and placing a reinsurance programme. The reinsurance discussions should also improve the participants’ negotiating and communication skills. Furthermore, the seminar offers excellent opportunities for networking, as people are working in multinational teams. Our technical expertise will be disseminated during lectures covering topics that are of interest to most insurance companies.
