How we hire

Step 1: Start your Search

- Job Title or Keyword in the search box

- Job category (i.e. Finance, Actuarial, Claims etc)
Step 2: Explore the Details
Once you’ve found an opportunity you’re interested in, be sure to read the full job description, including our requirements before moving forwards.
Step 3: Apply
When you find a job listing you like, click "Apply" or "Apply with LinkedIn" to begin the application process. It's quick and straightforward, taking just 5-10 minutes, and you can complete it from your mobile device.
Tip: If you have a LinkedIn profile, we recommend applying via LinkedIn to skip creating a separate profile/account.
Step 4: Check your Confirmation
If you don’t receive a confirmation of your application email, check your junk folders and set us up as a known email address (donotreply@qbe.com), so you don't miss out on important correspondence.
Step 5: Recruiter Review Process
Our Talent Acquisition team personally reviews each application, and you can typically expect to hear back within two weeks regarding the status of your application. If it takes a bit longer, please be patient—we're working diligently behind the scenes.
Note: Our recruiters are real people, not automated systems, so rest assured your application will receive careful consideration.
Step 6: Selection Process
The selection process begins with an initial phone call to discuss the role, your qualifications, and your motivations for applying. If you're selected for an interview, it will likely be a two-stage process, which usually includes at least one face-to-face meeting. Virtual meetings are also an option.
At QBE, we want to ensure everyone performs at their best during this process. Are there any adjustments we can put in place for you to support you throughout this process? Some examples may include:
- Providing additional breaks throughout the interview.
- Amend interview timings to avoid traffic.
- Rescheduling interviews to avoid cultural observations.
Be sure to let us know if there is anything we can do to help set you up for success.
Step 7: The Job Offer
If you're successful, we'll give you a call to share the good news. A contract or offer letter will follow within a week, which you'll need to sign and return. We'll then proceed with background checks, and we'll guide you through this process to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Step 8: Onboarding
You’ve made it. Welcome to QBE, It’s Our Moment and Yours Too!
