QBE commits to being an inclusive, flexible, and supportive employer that provides its employees with the opportunity to work flexibly.
Our hybrid working approach means we can all enjoy the benefits of virtual working, while evolving our offices to become a place for purposeful collaboration and personal connection.
Our approach to hybrid working is supported by our Flex@QBE principles.
The principles aim to balance the needs of our people, customers and business
and are built on three core aspects:
The work we do
Working as a team
Working at my best
We are consciously embedding ‘Flex by Design’ in everything we do, to ensure that our business processes and behaviours are hybrid-ready and fit for purpose to support modern ways of working.
We recognise that no matter your situation, connecting in person remains essential for collaboration, efficiency, enhancing performance and wellbeing. At QBE, we expect everyone to have some kind of flexibility within their work pattern, with the majority of people working regularly from home (*for example 1-3 days a week)
*exceptions may apply subject to business requirements
*Formal requests should be submitted should changes result in contractual changes to the employee’s terms and conditions.
Our modern, comfortable offices inspire collaboration and innovation. Sit/stand desks, phone booths, libraries, flexible breakout and collaboration spaces – a way of working for everyone, enabling us to work better, work smarter, and work together. Our hybrid working approach means we can all enjoy the benefits of virtual working, while evolving our offices to become a place for purposeful collaboration and personal connection.
We recognise, welcome and value the variety of religious and philosophical beliefs that our people have, and we want to make it possible for everyone to celebrate who they are. That’s why we’ve introduced Flexible public holidays in the UK. You can ‘swap’ a UK public holiday for another more suitable and meaningful day that suits you
