QBE is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Browne as Director of Underwriting, Casualty for the UK, effective from 1 January 2026.
- Adrian has more than two decades of experience in insurance, spanning actuarial pricing and underwriting leadership. In the last four years, he has worked as Portfolio Manager for UK Casualty.
- Based in London, Adrian will report into Chris Wallace, Executive Director of UK Insurance at QBE Europe.

- Under Anna Bennett’s leadership, the QBE UK Casualty team has increased the division’s GWP by 43% in recent years through significant regional growth. It has broadened its product offering to include QBE’s award-winning Minds in Business tool, a strategic mental health assessment tool as well as the launch of its QBE Contractors Combined package. Other divisional successes include the extension of its 35-year partnership with SSR as well as the renewal of its UK and Ireland capacity with Pen Underwriting.
- The appointment follows Anna Bennett’s decision to retire at the end of 2025.
