International business insurer QBE has appointed Chris Reidy as Head of Core Claims and James Villiers as Head of Complex Claims for European Operations.
Chris steps into his new role after nearly 20 years at QBE, most recently serving as Complex Property, Casualty, Motor and Health Claims Manager.
He succeeds Scott Jacobs, who is taking up the role of Head of Claims Transformation. In the newly created role, Scott will provide leadership for modernisation and change initiatives across Claims, looking at the best use of AI, automation, and global transformation.

Chris, James and Scott report into Mike East, Claims Director for QBE’s European Operations.
Mike East, Claims Director, QBE European Operations, said:
“I am delighted to have hired from within for these appointments, which is a testament to the excellent pipeline of talent at QBE. I’m confident both Chris and James will help us continue to provide customers with an exceptional claims service."
"I am pleased that Scott will be taking on the role of Head of Claims Transformation after being heavily involved in successful modernisation initiatives that put our customers at the heart of our claims offering. Creating this role shows our commitment to new ways of working and technology and improving our service. I’d also like to wish Fiona all the best in her retirement.”
