QBE European Operations has partnered with Crisis and Mind to help make a difference to homelessness and mental health.
The QBE Foundation partners with impactful not-for-profit organisations to help protect vulnerable communities, enable financial resilience, strengthen their health and wellbeing, and to build more inclusive, sustainable communities in which we live and work.
Our community approach is underpinned by employee engagement and support for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our partnerships align to SDG 8 for Crisis [Decent work and Economic growth] and SDG 3 for Mind [Good health and Wellbeing].
Through our partnerships we aim to create meaningful, sustained impact in the communities in which we operate by working towards ending homelessness and supporting those suffering from mental health problems.
Crisis is the UK’s national charity for homeless people. They help people out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether. Through their services, they support people out of homelessness for good, through education, training and support with housing, employment and health. In addition, they carry out pioneering research into the causes and consequences of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to end it for everyone, for good.
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem and MIND believe everyone should be able to access excellent care and services. They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Outside of the UK, in Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the United Arab Emirates, QBE has partnered with either a homelessness or mental health charity to maximise our efforts towards these two causes; so that together we can make a real difference.
